Crimson Notes 9/12/11

-Safety Mark Barron has been named the SEC Defensive Player of the Week for his performance against Penn State. Barron had seven tackles, a fumble recovery and the 11th interception of his Alabama career.


-Wide receiver Darius Hanks will make his 2011 debut on Saturday after missing the first two games of the season due to NCAA regulations.

-Wide receiver Duron Carter, who was expected to make his Crimson Tide debut against Penn State, did not make the trip to Happy Valley and remains unable to contribute in live game action. The University of Alabama is awaiting essential documents before Carter can be certified and allowed to participate.
