On Wednesday, the Alabama Crimson Tide football team held a single practice indoors due to the extreme heat that has plagued preseason camp.

As fall practice continues to intensify, minor injuries become routine.

Several Tide players are dealing with pesky and nagging ailments this week.

Running back Demetrius Goode (left hamstring), nose tackle Josh Chapman (right hamstring), wide receiver Julio Jones (right foot) and defensive back DeQuan Menzie (right calf) have been “wrapped” but have continued to practice with no major issues.

Blake Sims remained at the running back position for yet another practice session. Nick Saban likes the threat Sims could provide ‘Bama on the offensive side of the ball so expect Sims to remain on offense for awhile.

Prior to being moved to running back, Sims saw action at safety and quarterback last week.

The unfortunate story concerning ‘Bama safety Kendall Kelly remains unchanged. Even though the Wednesday practice session was held indoors, Kelly remained out of action.

Kelly continues to deal with heat related issues that became paramount last week during the initial practice of fall camp.
