Back to Work: Tuesday Practice Report

Grind Time:

-Tuesday was the first practice session since Saturday’s closed scrimmage.

Injuries:

-Nose guard Brandon Ivory, cornerback Dre Kirkpatrick and offensive lineman Arie Kouandjio all returned to practice on Tuesday after missing Saturday’s scrimmage due to minor injuries.

On Field Action:

-The versatile Blake Sims continues to work at the running back position.

-Offensive lineman Barrett Jones (speaking of versatile) continues to take reps at left tackle.

The Drama Continues:

-Still no sign of wide receiver Duron Carter…and still no sign of finality to this “academic transcript gone awry” storyline.

Thoughts and Prayers for Pat Summitt:

-Nick Saban, during his post-practice press conference, said his thoughts and prayers are with University of Tennessee women’s basketball coach Pat Summitt and her family. Summitt, one of the greatest and most recognizable coaches in the history of college basketball, has been diagnosed with early onset dementia.
