Gold Signs Contract Through 2017

The “voice” of University of Alabama football has signed a four-year contract extension.

Eli Gold, who has called every Alabama football game since 1989, will continue his work on the Crimson Tide Sports Radio Network through 2017.

Gold, who also hosts the radio program, “NASCAR Live,” has been a fixture on the Motor Racing Network (MRN) since 1976.

Over the course of his illustrious career, Gold has called everything from professional hockey to Birmingham Barons minor league baseball.

Gold is also the co-owner of Nino’s Italian Restaurant in Pelham, Alabama.
