University of Alabama freshman running back Dee Hart suffered a knee injury on Tuesday.
The extent of the injury is not known at this time, but an MRI will determine the significance of the damage and could very well decide Hart’s fate for the 2011 campaign.
Hart, one of the top national high school running backs in the 2011 class, participated in the annual spring scrimmage and was expected to vie for a position on the depth chart at running back.
If Hart is absent for the entire 2011 season, Alabama will have to depend on the likes of Jalston Fowler to fill the third spot in the rotation behind Trent Richardson and Eddie Lacy.
