Alabama running back Dee Hart will miss the entire 2011 season after suffering a torn anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) on Tuesday.
Hart is scheduled to undergo surgery Thursday morning and is expected to be out of “live action” for 7-10 months.
Athlete Blake Sims, who played a variety of positions (practice squad) during his 2010 redshirt season, is a possible candidate to fill the void left by Hart at the running back position.
Sims most recently played quarterback during spring drills.
