Ross Pierschbacher gives verbal to Alabama

Cedar Falls High School (Cedar Falls, Iowa) offensive tackle Ross Pierschbacher has given his verbal commitment to the University of Alabama for 2014.

Pierschbacher, who originally gave his verbal pledge to the University of Iowa, announced his intentions to attend the University of Alabama via press release. The news of Pierschbacher's “flip” hit the wire earlier this evening.

In respect to 2014, Pierschbacher is the fifth offensive lineman of the class, and the 18th verbal commitment.

Listed as a four-star prospect per Rivals.com, Pierschbacher stands 6-foot-4 and tops the scale at 295-pounds.

Excluding the aforementioned Iowa, Pierschbacher selected Alabama over the likes of Auburn, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Stanford, and USC.
