Sugar Bowl prep begins for Alabama

The award presentations and annual ceremonies have come and gone, and hopefully so has the sting of the Iron Bowl. With just over two weeks remaining until the 2014 Sugar Bowl, the Alabama Crimson Tide have returned to the practice field.

Entering the first practice of the bowl season, Alabama appears to be healthy, with the obvious exception of senior offensive lineman Anthony Steen.

Originally reported Monday morning courtesy of CBS Sports, Steen is expected to miss the Sugar Bowl against Oklahoma due to a partially torn labrum and subsequent surgery.

Per Tide beat writer Andrew Gribble, freshman offensive lineman Grant Hill has filled Steen's role at the right guard position.
