Betting line increases due to Razorback qualms

Whether the logic is based on Arkansas’ horrendous performance against Louisiana-Monroe, the “questionable” health and playing status of quarterback Tyler Wilson, or a combination of all of the above, the Razorbacks, even though playing at home, are now considered 21-point underdogs against Alabama.

The initial Vegas betting line, which favored the Crimson Tide by two touchdowns, has since ballooned to the aforementioned 21-point plateau within a matter of 72 hours.

For some recent perspective, Alabama closed as a 13-point favorite over the Michigan Wolverines, a game which was held at a neutral site.

In lieu of time, and apologizing in advance for lack of confirmation,
“surface logic” would suggest that Alabama has never been a 21-point favorite over Arkansas in the modern age of betting, regardless of location.
