Tight end Ty Flournoy-Smith, a 3-star prospect per 247Sports, gave his verbal pledge to the Crimson Tide Monday night, a short time after being offered a scholarship. By the numbers, UA's newest commitment stands 6-foot-3 and tops the scale at 230-pounds.

Flournoy-Smith, who becomes UA's 26th commitment, played high school football for Rush Propst at Colquitt County in Moultrie, Georgia.Originally signed by the University of Georgia in 2012, Flournoy-Smith transferred to Georgia Military College in the summer of 2013.
During his time at UGA, Flournoy-Smith found himself in legal turmoil after being arrested for filing a false police report in regard to stolen textbooks.
Selecting the Crimson Tide over the likes of Louisville and Ole Miss, Flournoy-Smith is the No. 1 JUCO tight end in the country per the composite rating used by the recruiting outlet 247Sports.
