-Linebacker Rashaan Evans, the pride of Auburn High School, selected the University of Alabama over the likes of Auburn and UCLA. In a decision that was considered to be down to the wire, Evans announced his commitment during ESPNU's national signing day coverage. After thanking everyone involved in his recruitment, the five-star prospect announced his decision to play for the Crimson Tide...while simultaneously reaching for an Alabama hat.

-3-star safety Chris Williams, a long-standing 'Bama verbal who decommitted from UA Tuesday morning, officially signed his National Letter of Intent with the University of Central Florida. -While not giving a verbal commitment to the Tide during the recruiting process, 3-star defensive tackle Elisha Shaw committed to Alabama this morning. Due to a serious neck injury, Shaw was unable to play during his senior campaign. Per recruiting expert Andrew Bone, Shaw, who attended Tucker High School in Atlanta, Georgia, will not sign a National Letter of Intent, but rather be placed on a medical scholarship. His future, in respect to football, is very much in doubt.
A source close to Elisha Shaw told me a few weeks ago only Nick Saban and Tide staff stood by Shaw after injury.
