Maurice Smith gives verbal to ‘Bama

Dulles High School (Sugar Land, TX) defensive back Maurice Smith has given his verbal commitment to the University of Alabama for 2013.

Smith confirmed his intentions via press release, Thursday night.

"Maurice Smith II (Fort Bend Sugarland Dulles c/o 2013) has researched, evaluated, and visited and has reached his decision to commit to University of Alabama and play for Nick Saban's defense," said the public confirmation.

Smith, who received offers from a plethora of schools, selected Alabama over the likes of Florida, Florida State, and LSU.

With his verbal pledge to the Tide, Smith becomes Alabama’s 15th verbal commitment in respect to the 2013 signing class.
