Cole Mazza gives verbal to ‘Bama

Nick Saban, for the first time in his Alabama tenure, has offered a scholarship to a long snapper.

Cole Mazza (Bakersfield, CA) has accepted Saban’s offer, and becomes the 18th verbal commitment for the Crimson Tide in respect to the 2013 signing class.

Mazza, who was previously committed to the UCLA Bruins, is regarded as one of the top long snappers in the nation.

Mazza will most certainly replace current long snapper, Carson Tinker, at the conclusion of the 2012 season.
