Billy Napier has been hired by the University of Alabama as the new offensive quality control assistant.
Napier comes to Alabama from Clemson University where he served as tight ends coach (2006), recruiting coordinator (2006-2008) and offensive coordinator (2009-2010).

In other news, the University of Alabama has hired Joe Pannunzio as the new director of football operations.
Pannunzio comes to Alabama from the University of Miami where he served a five-year stint as tight ends and special teams coach.
The Pueblo, Colorado native replaces Mike Vollmar who served as director of football operations for three years before accepting a similar role at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.

Spring practice for the University of Alabama football team will officially begin on March 21 and will conclude with the annual A-Day Game on April 16 at Bryant-Denny Stadium.
The Crimson Tide will hold a total of 15 practice sessions during the course of spring drills.
