When
Alabama quarterback AJ McCarron is not throwing touchdown passes in the national championship game, he’s driving the pace car in NASCAR’s most elite division.
As the Sprint Cup Series arrives in
Talladega this Sunday for the Aaron’s 499, McCarron will be the honorary pace car driver as he will lead a 43 car field to the green flag.
In conjunction with McCarron’s appearance, Michael Waltrip Racing, for the third time in four years, and second consecutive year, will honor the national championship
Alabama football team with a special paint scheme. The No. 55 Aaron’s/Alabama National Championship Toyota Camry will be piloted by MWR team owner, and veteran racer, Michael Waltrip.
