Stephen Roberts gives verbal to Alabama

Opelika High School (Opelika, AL) defensive back Stephen Roberts has given his verbal commitment to the University of Alabama for 2014.

Roberts, who stands 6-foot-1 and tops the scale at 179-pounds, gave his commitment to the Tide following a visit from Alabama defensive coordinator Kirby Smart.

Listed as a three-star prospect per Rivals.com, and the No. 31 ranked defensive back in the nation, Roberts selected Alabama over the likes of Auburn and Florida State.

With his verbal pledge to the Crimson Tide, Stephen Roberts becomes the fifth verbal commitment for Alabama in respect to the 2014 signing class.
