Many Tide fans, as of Sunday night, are pleased with the idea of Thompson returning to Alabama based on his coaching ability and his prowess as a top-notch recruiter.
On the other hand, a faction of Alabama supporters are perplexed and disenchanted with the idea of Thompson’s return, based on how the assistant coach departed Tuscaloosa in early 2009.
