Dominick Jackson gives verbal to Alabama

As Tuesday rolled into Wednesday in the central time zone, one of the most highly touted junior college players in the country had the University of Alabama on his mind.

Offensive tackle Dominick Jackson, who gave his verbal commitment to UCLA three weeks ago, has now “flipped” his allegiance to the Crimson Tide.
Currently attending the College of San Mateo in San Mateo, California, Jackson stands 6-foot-7 and tops the scale at 312-pounds. Listed as a four-star prospect per Rivals.com, Jackson is the No. 1 JUCO offensive tackle per 247Composite rankings via 247Sports.com.

Jackson held scholarship offers from the aforementioned UCLA Bruins, as well as the likes of Arizona State, Arkansas, Florida, Oregon, Texas A&M, and USC.

With his verbal pledge to the Crimson Tide, Dominick Jackson becomes the 14th verbal commitment for Alabama in respect to the 2014 signing class.

J.C. Hassenauer gives verbal to Alabama

East Ridge High School (Woodbury, MN) center J.C. Hassenauer has given his verbal commitment to the University of Alabama for 2014.
Hassenauer, who stands 6-foot-3 and tops the scale at 295-pounds, will become only the second Minnesota product to play for the Crimson Tide, and the first since 1925.

Listed as a three-star prospect per Rivals.com, Hassenauer selected the Crimson Tide over the likes of Minnesota and Vanderbilt.

With his verbal pledge to Alabama, Hassenauer becomes the 13th verbal commitment in respect to the 2014 signing class.

Derek Kief gives verbal to Alabama

La Salle High School (Cincinnati, OH) wide receiver Derek Kief has given his verbal commitment to the University of Alabama for 2014.



Kief, who stands 6-foot-4 and tops the scale at 200-pounds, selected the Crimson Tide over the likes of Kentucky and Ohio State.

Listed as a four-star prospect per Rivals.com, Kief becomes the 12th verbal commitment in respect to Alabama's 2014 signing class and the second verbal pledge in the last 48 hours.

David Cornwell gives verbal to Alabama

One of the most highly touted quarterbacks in the nation will be Tuscaloosa bound in 2014. David Cornwell, the pride of Norman, Oklahoma, has given his verbal commitment to the University of Alabama.
Cornwell, who stands 6-foot-5 and tops the scale at 235-pounds, has been deemed the nation’s No. 3 pro-style quarterback prospect per Rivals.com. Not to be outdone, recruiting outlets 247Sports and ESPN have declared Cornwell as the No. 1 pro-style quarterback in the country.

While Cornwell’s verbal pledge to the Tide will be met with obvious joy, the commitment is far from unexpected. Essentially every recruiting service in the nation has listed Cornwell as a “Bama lean” for several months. The old expression, “not if, but when” certainly held true in respect to Cornwell and his declaration to Alabama.

With today's announcement, David Cornwell became the 11th verbal commitment in respect to the 2014 signing class.

In terms of the weekend, the Crimson Tide could be in for a very impressive 48 hours.

JK Scott gives verbal to Alabama

One of the most highly touted punters in the nation will be 'Bama bound in 2014. JK Scott, of Denver, Colorado, gave his verbal commitment to the Crimson Tide Sunday evening.

Scott, who held offers from the likes of Colorado and Notre Dame, is considered a three-star prospect and the fifth best punter in the 2014 national recruiting class per Rivals.com.

With his pledge to the Tide, JK Scott becomes the 10th verbal commitment for Alabama in respect to the 2014 signing class.

Johnny Dwight gives verbal to Alabama

Wilcox County High School (Rochelle, GA) defensive tackle Johnny Dwight has given his verbal commitment to the University of Alabama for 2014.

Dwight, who stands 6-foot-3 and tops the scale at 298-pounds, is a three-star prospect per Rivals.com.

The ninth overall verbal pledge of the 2014 recruiting class, Dwight becomes the fourth verbal commitment in the span of 30 days.
